West Lebanon, NH — Earl Francis Brooks, 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at the Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon, NH. He was born in Hanover, NH on August 13, 1943, to Mary (Conroy) and Earl Joseph Brooks. He attended Lebanon High School. Earl married the former Jean Louise Currier on September 21, 1996, in Claremont, NH.

Earl loved going to car shows and building hotrods. He enjoyed riding his trike, camping, and the occasional hunting trip. Earl and Jean’s go-to spot to vacation was Lake George and frequently included a car show.

Upon hearing of Earl’s passing, many family members’ responses were the same, “The Christmas Yankee Swap won’t be the same without Earl. He made everything fun.”

Earl is survived by his wife, Jean L. Brooks; children, Laura, Lisa, and Christopher (Debra) Brooks; stepdaughters, Lori (Ray) Stone and Sheri Williams; sister, Hazel (Ben) Hollenbeck; brother, Dan (Cindy) Brooks; brothers-in-law, Terry L. Marsh and Ron (Nancy) Currier; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Earl J. and Mary I. Brooks; sister, Marlene Marsh; and infant brother, Ernie Brooks.

Memorial donations in Earl’s name may be made to the charity or organization of one’s choice.

Family and friends are invited to call at Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon, NH at 11:00am on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. Funeral services will begin at Ricker’s at noon. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lebanon, NH.
