Canaan, NH—LeRoy A. Coutermarsh Sr., 83, passed away at the Alice Peck Day Hospital in Lebanon on Thursday October 13, 2022. He was born in Lyme, NH on November 17, 1938 to the late Lawerance & Vivian (Wilmot) Coutermarsh.

LeRoy grew up in Lyme and was drafted into the Army. He was married to Barbara Frost who predeceased him in 1995. LeRoy retired from Dartmouth College after 34 years of dedicated service. He later worked for Cardigan Mountain School. LeRoy enjoyed visiting Pittsburg to see the moose, fish and snowmobile. He dearly loved his pets Gizmo and Peanut.

He is survived by his longtime companion Rose Gardner, son James Coutermarsh and stepdaughter Marie Olsen, seventeen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two daughters Debbie and Kathy, a son LeRoy Jr. and a granddaughter Julie.

Family and friends are invited to LeRoy’s memorial calling hours at the Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon on Tuesday, November 1^st from 4 to 7 PM. A private graveside will be held at the convenience of the family.
